About Method Calculator

Method Calculator is a free collection of online calculators for personal finance, health and fitness, mathematics and everyday tasks, plus generators and tools such as QR codes and passwords. The site launched in 2026 with one goal: give a clear answer and show the method behind it.

How the calculators are built

• Every calculator uses a standard, published formula. The formula is written out on the page, with a worked example.
• Calculations run in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to our servers.
• Each formula is covered by automated tests against known reference values before it is published.

Accuracy and limitations

We work hard to keep results correct, but every calculator makes simplifying assumptions (for example, a loan calculator assumes a fixed rate and no fees). Results are estimates for information only and should not be the sole basis for financial, medical or legal decisions. Please consult a qualified professional for advice about your situation.
